B.B.

B.B.

Birthdate: Jun 18, 1993
Arrived: Jan 1, 1995
Gender: Male

For almost two years, BB lived at a private residence with a tiger named Bruno. They were abandoned for approximately seven days at a house in Fort Worth with no food or water. When the North Texas Humane Society came to rescue the two cats, they had already started ripping out the wall in order to get to the water pipes. After they were rescued, the two cats were subsequently sent to IEAS. BB and Bruno are not housed together anymore but rather in adjacent habitats, but their days of being abused, thirsty and starved are long gone. Help support BB. BB has a front row seat to a protected portion of the workshop at the Sanctuary. He has become a devoted supervisor when building projects are underway. His favorite vantage point is as he stands on the edges of his water trough. Sometimes, however, supervising can be tiring work, so BB retires to his cave for a snooze, careful to drape his long and bushy tail over the threshold. The keepers at IEAS do everything they can to insure that all the animals have a comfortable, natural environment. Donations to the Sanctuary not only provide the animals with numerous toys and treats, but also give the keepers the chance to build caves, plant natural canopies of vines and install perches with ramps for the animals to enjoy. You're part of every wonderful and successful day at IEAS!

Personality Traits

B.B. feels most comfortable lying in his cave for most of the day. When he comes out, however, he pleasantly greets his visitors with a rumbling purr. He has a very stable and mellow disposition and is almost always in a good mood. He has perhaps as good a disposition as one will find in a male cougar.
