Construction has begun on our new bear habitats. It will be known as Bear Orphanage. One 5 acre habitat will be for black bears and another 5 acre habitat for grizzly bears. Each habitat will be able to house up to nine bears. They will feature forest and meadow areas along with ponds and some den areas which are all parts of the natural ecosystem for the bear. We hope to have these naturalistic habitats completed by Spring 2008. Once completed, you will be able to sign up for a tour and see the bears in their new home. There will be observation decks where you can view and photograph the bears in a natural setting. We feel it will be one of the finest natural habitats for bears in captivity. We hope to see each and every one of you. As always, help is always needed and appreciated.
