Princess was rescued from a Coryell County property. All of the animals on the property were found living in very poor environmental conditions. Conditions inside the dwelling were deemed dangerous for both the humans and animals. Princess along with Prince, Duchess and Duke were brought to IEAS after a judge granted permanent custody of the 300 plus animals rescued from the property to the Houston SPCA. On March 8th, with the help of the Houston Zoo and the Houston SPCA, the four arrived at their new home. The female tiger was anxious to get settled into her new home. Once things settled down, she found her spot in the cave. That is where she spends most of the day while, during the evening hours, she will wander around her habitat. She enjoys exploring her new home and you will often see her lounging in her cave. She is very comfortable with her caregivers and always greets them with affectionate chuffs.
