The four grizzly bears were 16 months old when they arrived at IEAS. They were born at a facility that had an older pair of grizzly bears they didn't think were capable of breeding. The birth of these cubs caused a problem in that the facility didn't have the habitat in which to properly keep the cubs or the financing to build such a habitat. Help support Wendy.
Wendy was named by a generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous. Wendy is a lot smaller than her brothers and has a lighter coat, almost blond during the winter. She loves playing with her brothers and is usually the one who instigates it. However, there are times she wishes to be left alone, and she lets her brothers know it. Don't let her small stature fool you, she can play just as rough as the boys and is the one who always gets the last hit in. Wendy enjoys playing with sticks while lounging in the pool. She is a very affectionate and friendly bear.
