The four grizzly bears were 16 months old when they arrived at IEAS. They were born at a facility that had an older pair of grizzly bears they didn't think were capable of breeding. The birth of these cubs caused a problem int hat the facility didn't have the habitat in which to properly keep the cubs or the financing to build such a habitat.

Personality Traits

Willie was named by Phil and Karen Dryer who generously donated the funds needed to build Willie's habitat. Willie loves to play on the branches of an old cedar tree that is left in their habitat. He will climb as high as he can and sit on one of the branches. He also enjoys playing in the pool with his brothers. That is one of his favorite summer activities. He will even stand on the waterfall spout and splash water all throughout his habitat. This makes it challenging to keep their pool filled for them. It is very entertaining to watch, so it makes it all worth it.
