Zeus
Birthdate: Aug 19, 1989
Arrived: Jan 1, 1992
Gender: Male
Zeus was placed at IEAS when he was about two and a half years old because his owners moved to Boston. Zeus is the second oldest bobcat at the Sanctuary. He holds a special place in our hearts. Zeus used to live with his friend Pecos, until he became ill. Back in the summer of 2005, Zeus became sick and was not eating well. He was transferred to our vet clinic so that he could escape the heat in the air conditioning, and to keep him away from fire ants. Since then, Zeus has recovered and moved back into his home, although he and Pecos are now separated, as Zeus' age is beginning to show. They still live right next to each other and are able to see each other everyday. Zeus likes to spend most of the day napping in his house. We know that his internal clock is still going strong though! Zeus gets fed every morning, just like everyone else. But he also gets an evening meal with his medications. Everyday, Zeus comes out of his house and down to the door to wait for his evening meal. He knows that the keepers will be there sometime between 3 and 4pm and he is always there...ready to eat. You can help support Zeus, too.
