Heather Chance Heather checks the tool buckets

My name is Heather Chance and I am from Houston, TX. I graduated in May of 2008 from Texas A&M University with a BS in Zoology. While in school I was involved in research within two different labs in two separate departments. In the Wildlife and Fishery Science department, I was a research assistant for a project regarding herd behavior of the waterbuck residing on the grounds of the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. In the Biology department I studied the spatial learning capabilities of two fresh water fish species and their naturally occurring hybrids. In regards to the spatial learning research, I have written an undergraduate thesis that is published on the TAMU repository website. During this last summer, I worked for a pet kennel as an animal care technician and volunteered as an assistant dog trainer. After this internship, my goal is to acquire a position as a zookeeper and animal trainer in an AZA accredited zoological facility.
