A Rewarding Experience
Date: 01-24-2012
As you know, there are many ways to help the animals at IEAS. One of the many ways is through volunteering. Volunteering at IEAS is a very unique opportunity for individuals both helping onsite at the facility as well as virtually. Onsite work is real work; regardless of whatever temperature the weather chooses to throw at us. Being an IEAS volunteer, you can help out with whatever needs done at the Sanctuary. That can be anything from washing dishes, raking, gardening and landscaping activities, building caves or pools to giving tours and assisting in fundraising opportunities. You name it IEAS volunteers do it, and after a long days work, you are able to walk around and visit with these wonderful animals.
Don’t worry; if you live too far away from the Sanctuary, there is still a way to help these wonderful animals. Virtual or offsite volunteers help the IEAS out in many ways. We have a volunteer in New Jersey helping out with in-kind photography matting and framing services. Grant proposals, fund-raising, and writing for both internal training documents as well as our external newsletters can be perfect opportunities for virtual volunteers.
As you can see, volunteering at IEAS gives you a perfect opportunity to gain valuable experience not to mention wonderful and exciting memories to take with you! You are able to see how your commitment helps these animals by walking around and seeing the appreciation in their amazing eyes. Find out more on how to become part of the volunteer team at IEAS.
