Khera Enjoys Her New Pool

Well, after many weeks of hard work, the Staff and Interns of IEAS have completed construction of Khera’s new pool. Her new and improved pool is complete with a waterfall that flows into her pool which is also a little deeper. Khera walked right over to check out her new fall. She sniffed the fall and stood on it a while. Then she went over to check out the pump that was outside her habitat. All this is very new for her, and she was just taking it all in. It wasn't until the late afternoon that she decided to take a dip and really test out her new enrichment. Unfortunately, we were not prepared with a camera, but at least we know she had fun. 
 
It is reactions like this that make all the hard work worth it. We thoroughly enjoy giving these animals the best quality life possible.
