Waterfall for Khera
Date: 01-17-2012
As everyone in the Dallas-Fort Worth area knows, this has been a unseasonably warm winter, and we are not going to complain about that one bit. This warmer weather has allowed us to complete many projects for the animals such as building two caves for the bear residents and installing new pool pumps. We have also started a pool renovation project. At IEAS, we provide pools for all the residents who love water. As most everyone knows, tigers LOVE the water. This is especially true for Khera, a female Bengal tiger. She currently has two standing pools that she uses to lounge in during the warmer months. Right now we are in the process of adding a waterfall to one of her pools because we have found that many of the tiger residents enjoy playing in their waterfall.
We have come a long way on Khera’s pool in the past two weeks. The wet weather last week slowed us down a bit; however, we are making the best of the sunny, warm days to come. The fall is starting to take shape, and we hope to have it completed by next week…weather pending. Stay tuned for updates on this project. We will provide video of Khera first checking out her waterfall which we know she will love.
