We would like to THANK everyone that has sent us warm and happy comments regarding our new website! We're very proud of our new site and look forward to bringing you new and updated content on a frequent and regular basis!

We will also be adding alot of video content in the upcoming weeks. We've already added alot of video content to many of the cat pages. In addition to the cat pages, we've created a new Education Video Library where we posted some initial videos. Please check back often to see what new stuff we've added!

Purrfect Pickles

We would like to thank those of you who donated toward our Purrfect Pickles drive. We are so happy to say that we reached our goal and raised $1000 to purchase new enrichment items for the felines. We were able to get 20 new pickles and 6 large boomer balls. The pickles have already arrived and the cats are enjoying them as we speak! CAESAR

Male Siberian Tiger
Born June 1, 1997

Caesar was brought to IEFS by the SPCA of Dallas. They were contacted by an elderly man who's grandson had left the tiger cub with him and was instructed to shoot Caesar if he did not return to get him. The old man cared for Caesar for four months then turned to the SPCA for help in Feb 1998.

B.B.

Male Mountain Lion
Born June 18, 1993

B.B. and his Tiger buddy Bruno were abandoned without food or water for about a week in a house in Ft. Worth. They were rescued by the North Texas Humane Society and brought here to IEFS in July 1995.

Katrina

Female Snow Leopard
Born June 20, 1996

Katrina has been boarded here at IEFS since August 1996 by her owner, who pays for all expenses related to her care. Katrina is very elusive at times. She is usually hiding, quietly watching and waiting for a tour group to get close to her enclosure. While you are looking all over for her, she is sneaking up on you!

Sheba

Female African Lioness
Born June 28, 1986

Sheba's owner gave her to the Sanctuary in 1986. Her diet had been lacking in the proper nutrients for bone and teeth development during her early months. As a result she is stunted and has very bad teeth. She has a very sweet disposition and is 21 this month!
