Food for the Bears
Greetings all!
As most of you probably know, four grizzly bear cubs arrived at the Sanctuary on July 11, 2007. We are trying to raise funds to help feed the bears.
We have been spoiling the bears with fruit and treats that they love, as well as a nutritious kibble to meet their dietary needs. IEAS has enlisted the help of local food markets who have provided fruits and vegetables for the bears. We are currently using 400 pounds of Mazuri Omnivore Zoo Feed per month. This food costs over $300 per month. That amount will double by September, when two adult black bears will be arriving at IEAS. These black bears are currently being housed at the North Texas Humane Society until their permanent habitat is completed.
We are trying to raise $1500 to help cover the cost of food for the bears through the remainder of the year. You can help by donating today! Your $20 will help feed six bears for 2 days. We would like to thank you in advance for your generosity and continuing support of IEAS. We invite you to come and visit the new additions at the Sanctuary.
Sincerely,
Richard Gilbreth Executive Director International Exotic Animal Sanctuary
